A day in bed!

Ok, I won't lie. It wasn't really the all day. In the morning, I didn't do much. I just cooked lunch... I even burned the rice!!! Ouch, the smell in the kitchen was awful. After lunch, I spent the all time in bed. I slept for couple of hours, then I woke up and watched tv. Then, more tv. And then, sleep again.

I had to stay home to take care of my health. Some teachers taught in my place. I missed teaching the kids and the evening class on Wednesday and Engage 1 group on Thursday. Ana told me that class was really good. Well, I bet it was. They are really great students. I missed them.

I got back to UDI on Friday and my first group was really nice. They are cool students. I love teaching them as well.

I am feeling a little better and I hope to be in shape by next week. So, off the computer I go!!!

Gran torino

Yesterday, I taught at UDI from 8 a.m until 1:15 p.m. Classes were nice. In the afternoon, I went to the doctor to check out my neck and shoulders. Then, I did physiotherapy. In the evening, I cooked a nice dinner and went to bed to watch a movie. The movie was really cool. Do you cry when you watch movies? I do. I love strong stories and Gran Torino has a strong story to tell. If you haven't watched yet, please do when you can. It is awesome. It teaches you a lesson for life.

I'm not going to write about it, because it will spoil the fun of watching it.
So, here is just a teaser.

What a long weekend!

I got really sick on Sunday. My neck was hurting so much that I had to spend my day in bed. At least I watched a lot of tv... but neck is still hurting.
I took some a medicine on Sunday evening and it helped a bit. I also called a massotherapist. She came around 7 or 8 in the evening... I'm not sure. I didn't care to look at the watch. The massage helped, but didn't cure it. On Monday, I had a lot of things to prepare for Tuesday... so you figure what it was like. :)

What an awful weekend!!!

Samoa Island without Tsunami

Every Thursday, my husband watches a cooking tv show called Bizzare food from the World hosted by Andrew Zimmerm. The host is awesome. I really enjoy sitting in front of the tv and watching it. The food presented is sometimes a bit disgusting, but the way Andrew talks is just so cool. So, last Thursday I had a chance to watch it with my hubby (husband). And the destination was Samoa Island.

Don't get disgusted!!! Yeah, those are bats!!

Twilight Project

Twilight project is coming to an end soon.
I hope to be able to work next semester with Movies again, improving the dynamics of it everytime there is an oportunity. I mention Twilight project because last Thursday, Luana made a complaint. She said that she accessed the blog and didn't see a picture of them. So, here it is. Only Lucas is missing in the group. And this picture was taking at the end of last semester, before Deividli and Isabella started into our group. I hope you get happy now "LUANA"!!!!

Friday's Group
Another group participating in this project is a teen group from Friday's. Here are the pictures from last Friday, October 9th. They surely look busy!!

Madonna

Monday was cool only in the evening, because in the morning and afternoon I was busy with some stuff.
Class in the evening was very funny. Lu, one of my students, was back. She had to miss some classes because she was traveling. And she is so much fun to be with. Henrique and Flavio are usually so funny. We all laughed a lot in class, and of course practiced English!!

Tuesday!! More tests to correct. Class in the afternoon, more tests to correct, then class in the evening. I'm tired. I'm listening to this song. I like it very much. It's from Madonna.

What an interesting week part 2!

On my last post I was talking about Thursday, I guess. Friday was as cool. My Engage 1 teens had their first class with Twilight and it was so much fun. One of the interesting part is when they memorize one of the characters line and when they did the "listen, run and pick the sentence you hear competition", they run before they even say it. That is good. That shows that they remembered when that sentence was used. We have one more class with Twilight next class, I hope they will enjoy as much. We were so into it that I forgot to take pictures. I will try to remember next time.

Friday was nice and quiet. I watched a movie but now I can not remember which movie it was. Nevermind!!!
Saturday was busy busy as usual. I had to have a quick lunch, then I went to Içara. I came back in the evening and researched for some articles. Read a bit, reasearch a bit, downloaded an article here and there, then went to bed.

Sunday, from morning to evening, I spent correcting tests!!!! But my friend Nedi came to visit us with her son, and to bring back Hanna. My daughter stayed in her house on Saturday evening. They had fun.

That was it!!!! Interesting??? at least for me it was.

What an interesting week!

Last week the most difficult and yet the most interesting. How are human beings so different from each other. Understand them is a huge job which is hard to undertake, therefore right now.. I'm not interested.

Anyway, let me tell you how it started.

On Monday, there was Engage 1 students... counting them, 3 were missing. One was sick, and the two others I have no clue why didn't come. After spending a weekend preparing a game for them... nevermind! Let me skip this part.

Tuesday was cool. We studied from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm with the book, then from 3:30 until 5:30 we had a Twilight class. It was wonderful.
I had another group - adults from 7 until 9 pm. Then, I went home.

Wednesdays are usually very busy in the morning. So, I had the normal classes.

Thursday was nice too. Engage 1 presented their photos. I wish I brought my digital camera to film their presentation. It was very nice and we had fun playing Snake & Ladders with questions about Twilight. We are going to continue the game next class.

continue tomorrow. I'm very tired too. :)
